# What is Offline Email Notification?
When User is Offline. He will receive Email notification When a new one-on-one chat message is sent.
When User is Offline. He will receive Email notification When a new group chat message is sent.
Currently, we are supporting Email Notification for one-one & Group for Chat Messages, Stickers, Smilies.
Log on to your CometChat Admin Panel Using your Admin Panel Credentials.
From left Menu Click on "Features". Search for "Offline Email Notifications" Feature and activate it.
Click on "Offline Email Notifications" Settings icon.
Enter Proper details of "SMTP Host", "SMTP User Name","SMPT Password","From Email Address","Name","Minutes after which an email is sent", "Maximum number of email notifications to be sent per Day".
Modify your Email Template As per your Requirement & save it.
# What is "Minutes after which an email is sent"?
If you have set this setting to "30" Minutes than User who is offline from last 30 Minutes or more will get Email Notification
# What is "Maximum number of email notifications to be sent per Day"?
If you have set these settings to "5" Than user will get only 5 Email Notification Per Day.
In "Offline Email Notifications" Settings you can see "Cron URL". You have to set Cron Job as per your requirement.
# What is Cron Job?
A cron job is a command for scheduling a task to be executed sometime in the future.
This is normally used to schedule a job that is executed periodically.
You have two users in your CometChat.
"Test User 1" & "Test User 2".
"Test User 2" is "offline" from last 20 min. When Cron job run as per the settings set in "Offline Email Notification" Test User 2 will get Email Notification on his Register Email Address.
